Disney Junior to launch new show about Indian princess!

Disney Junior is set to become more inclusive this year with the announcement of a new show called ‘Mira, Royal Detective’. The animated mystery-adventure series is set in the magical Indian-inspired land of Jalpur, and follows the brave and resourceful titular character, Mira, a commoner, who is appointed to the role of royal detective after solving a mystery that involves saving the kingdom’s young prince.

As royal detective, Mira travels throughout the kingdom with her friend, inventor Prince Neel, cousin Priya, and comical mongoose sidekicks Mikku and Chikku to help royals and commoners alike, by solving cases. The show aims to encourage critical thinking and deductive reasoning and show India’s vibrant heritage by weaving authentic music, dance and customs into each episode. The show will premiere on March 20th 2020.
