International kite flying festival in solidarity with with the people of Afghanistan

Marking one year since the fall of Afghanistan, Afghan artists presented a festival of Afghan kite-flying, storytelling, music, poetry and dance in 38 cities across the UK, Europe and America taking part on 20th August. Nationwide workshops taught communities how to make a kite from scratch. The festival called on the UK Government to treat all people seeking asylum fairly and equally, including those from Afghanistan.
